This is an exciting opportunity for a Mechanical/Maintenance Fitter to work on exciting multi-disciplinary projects. The role presents a great opportunity for the right person.
Key Responsibilities:
- Overhaul of all types and manufactures of Low and High Voltage motors/generators
- Service, maintain, and repair all types and manufactures High Voltage AIS equipment
- Form part of a crew installing/removing all types and manufacturing High Voltage AIS equipment and associated Bus Bars
- Debug assemblies and machines by identifying and correcting problems affecting proper operation.
- Carry out preventative maintenance work on plant
Qualifications, Skills, Attributes and Experience:
- A recognised Electrical / Mechanical apprenticeship
- Advanced electrical and mechanical aptitude
- Strong engineering background in a similar environment
- Knowledge and experience in the principles of quality assurance, quality control and health and safety legislation
- Knowledge of health and safety requirements
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings
