A growing engineering company specialising in water and wastewater treatment solutions is seeking a Mechanical Technician / Fitter to support workshop manufacturing and site installations .
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble and install mechanical and plumbing systems for water and wastewater projects
- Carry out mechanical fit-outs and site installations
- Read and interpret CAD and P&ID drawings
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical issues
- Prepare material lists and support minor system layouts
- Ensure compliance with HSQE standards and site safety requirements
- Complete accurate project and compliance documentation
- Support junior team members and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
Requirements
- Relevant mechanical qualification or equivalent hands-on experience
- Experience in mechanical assembly or industrial installations
- Ability to read technical drawings and specifications
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Welding experience advantageous
- Comfortable working at height and in confined spaces
- Full clean driving licence
- Willingness to travel across Ireland and the UK
- Experience within the water/wastewater sector desirable
