The Manufacturing Design engineer will work alongside an experienced team to meet customer requirements in designing customer made trailers and cranes for manufacture on site. Solid works are used and ideally, the candidate would be able to structurally analyse the designed products also.

 

Qualifications and experience needed:

  • An honors degree in Mechanical/Agricultural Engineering or related field.
  • Design cranes and trailers (plant, recycling or agri machinery knowledge an advantage)
  • Understanding of BOMs
  • Nesting and programming of machines.
  • Capable of reading and following any legislation regarding designs.
  • 2 Years of prior knowledge and experience of working with solid works essential.
  • Working knowledge of Word, Excel
  • Demonstrate the ability to work to agreed deadline and to a high standard
  • Ability to produce technical manuals and documentation
  • Good communication skills, listening and taking action
  • Ability to work well as part of a team and on own initiative
  • Capable of managing people
