Production Team Lead Permanent

Exciting opportunity for an experienced Production Team Lead to join a multinational manufacturing company based in Dublin 10. It is a permanent role and is covering day shift. Must have strong people management experience, excellent problem solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Management of personnel on shift; lead by example - encouraging and motivating staff; ensure staff are correctly trained and identify training needs/skills gaps; monitor staff and assist with performance matters;
  • Control and running of all equipment and lines within designated area ensuring customer’s product is produced to the correct specification and quality standards and delivered on time; 
  • Strive to improve daily production levels and overall process; 
  • Ensure continuance of good housekeeping practice; 
  • Maintain and improve material efficiencies; carry out stock counts; investigate material variances. 
  • Ensure Health & Safety is of utmost importance.
  • Maximize levels of output and effective use of materials, reducing downtime and minimizing wastage; 
  • Ensure efficient change-overs and maintenance tasks; 
  • Providing production schedules to the teams and ensuring QA systems are used; 
  • Support administration and office requirements; 
  • Highlight any preventative and remedial maintenance requirements; 
  • Document, implement and train personnel on SOPs; 
  • Support and participate improvement initiatives and projects.
  • Input and maintain accurately key data; ensure timely provision of data to management, planning, quality, engineering and payroll; provide time sheets and manage the T&A system for wages in accordance with company deadlines; provide communication to Teams

Requirements:

  • Must have 2+ years experience working in a Production Team Leader role
  • Experience of working in a high pressure, manufacturing environment;
  • Able to demonstrate an excellent personal track record of attendance, time-keeping & compliance to company housekeeping and health & safety standards;
  • Computer Literacy - particularly MS Word, Excel, Outlook.
  • Must be a methodical thinkers who can plan, analyze and problem solve; and has a hands on approach
  • You must be comfortable taking responsibility and able to make timely decisions under pressure;
  • Good communication skills at all levels
