Manufacturing Supervisor

The Manufacturing Supervisor will be responsible for employees and activities across areas of production for smooth and continuous operations.

Job Functions

  • Responsibilities will include effective planning, organization, control and supervision of the manufacturing process and for the maximization of manufacturing productivity
  • Setting department goals/expectations and providing performance feedback to employees
  • Will work closely with Quality Assurance and Engineering to monitor department quality and support corrective actions
  • Will champion change management throughout the manufacturing process and will drive the incorporation of technical advancements
  • Short term emphasis would be on preparing for aggressive growth, long term emphasis on lean principles and 5S

Other functions and responsibilities include

  • Conduct department training to ensure proper staffing levels
  • Set department goals/expectations and provide performance feedback to employees
  • Provide a safe work area
  • Ensure compliance to regulations (FDA, OSHA, etc.)
  • Ensure that area spending is within budgeted amounts

Experience / Education / Special Requirements:

  • A bachelor’s degree in a related discipline is preferred for the Manufacturing Supervisor position
  • A minimum of two years experience supervising in a Medical Device Manufacturing environment is preferred for the Manufacturing Supervisor position. Experience implementing Lean Manufacturing concepts and/or catheter manufacturing is preferred
  • Attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced changing environment is key
  • Strong project management skills a must. Results orientation, accountability, and project ownership are essential
  • Prefer strong hands-on skills with proven ability to apply technical knowledge and judgment to complex technical problems along with leading small project teams
  • Requires excellent communication skills (written and spoken), and possess strong capabilities in managing, coaching and training talent.Ability to adapt to changing requirements is essential
