This is an excellent opportunity for a Manufacturing Engineer Team Lead to join an established healthcare Manufacturer based in Waterford.
Current shift: Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, and every second Wednesday (night shift)
Key Responsibilities
- Drive root cause analysis and technical problem-solving activities
- Coordinate engineering support to meet production and customer requirements
- Liaise with equipment vendors and program teams
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives; monitor trends and process variation
- Maintain and develop tooling/equipment documentation and work instructions
- Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team (or support development into leadership)
- Set priorities, assign tasks, and ensure delivery to quality and timelines
- Promote teamwork, ownership, and cross-functional communication
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and GMP standards
Education/Background
- Honours degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Biomedical Engineering, Applied Physics, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or similar discipline.
- 3-5 years’ experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment is desirable.
- Experience in cleanroom procedures and medical moulding is desirable.
- Familiar with process setup and validation, including performing process window studies, IQ, OQ, and PQ highly desirable.
- People management experience desirable, but not essential
- Open to high-potential candidates (e.g., Line Coordinators / Senior Technicians) looking to step into a leadership role
