An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Management Accountant to join a well-established, market-leading manufacturing company within the construction and building materials sector. Based fully onsite in Balbriggan, Dublin.
Reporting to the Head of Finance, this role will suit an ambitious accountant who enjoys blending strong technical accounting capability with commercial insight. It's a chance to work in a dynamic, growing business where financial analysis directly supports decision-making and business performance.
Management Accountant Responsibilities:
- Supports the preparation of monthly management accounts, budgets, and forecasts to assist strategic planning
- Develops and maintains Key Performance Indicators to promote a continuous improvement culture
- Provides analysis and insights into business performance to support decision-making
- Acts as a finance business partner to senior leadership and board stakeholders
- Leads financial aspects of energy and quality audit processes
- Ensures compliance with relevant legislation, policies, and internal procedures
- Reviews and assesses organisational structures and governance frameworks on a regular basis
- Identifies and delivers cost-saving opportunities through negotiation and analysis
- Supports external audit processes on an annual basis
- Prepares and submits grant and funding applications, including tax credits and research/project funding claims
Management Accountant Requirements:
- Qualified accountant (ACCA, ACA, CPA, or CIMA).
- Minimum of 3 years’ post-qualification or industry experience.
- Background in a medium to large accountancy practice, with strong audit exposure preferred.
- Prior experience in industry, ideally within a manufacturing or project-based environment.
- Proven experience in management accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and KPI reporting.
- Treasury management experience, including cash-flow forecasting, is highly advantageous.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial and non-financial data.
