Our client, one of the largest semiconductor companies in the world is currently recruiting as part of their large scale expansion in Limerick. There are opportunities for Maintenance Technicians - Equipment of all experience to join this exciting project. These roles are based on permanent contracts and will work as part of a 5-shift cycle (33.3% shift allowance for nights).
Role Responsibilities:
The Maintenance Technician will monitor equipment in the area and be familiar with equipment and process related issues within the Work Centre.
Perform routine preventative maintenance.
Be involved in advanced troubleshooting and repairs with tool owners or Specialists. Focus is on identifying root causes and implementing long-term fixes.
The Maintenance Technician will suggest modifications of PM procedures and specifications to the tool owner to improve tool availability.
Project management. Special projects may be assigned to improve tool reliability and reduce scrap risk on equipment failures. Projects include: assisting with equipment upgrades, modification and installation.
Use Statistical Process Control (SPC) to troubleshoot and determine the health of tools in the area.
Maintain a clean working area and follow 6S principles during repairs and preventative maintenance.
Follow safety procedures and expectations which includes knowledge of hazards and necessary precautions for assigned tool set(s) and following Lock out/Tag Out procedures. Adhere to all cleanroom protocols and procedures.
Maintain detailed documentation of work performed.
Role Requirements:
Associates Qualification in Electronics/Electromechanical/Laser technology/Semiconductor Manufacturing Technology preferred.
Electrical/Mechanical trade qualified would also be considered
Four or more years of experience as an equipment technician maintaining se processing equipment. Knowledge of Semi-Conductor equipment would be advantageous.
Excellent communication skills with internal customers (Operations, Process Engineering, Management).
