A global leader in the medical device industry is seeking to hire an experienced Maintenance Technician to join their team in Boyle, Co Roscommon. The Maintenance Technician will play a vital in role in supporting the Manufacturing and Technical Departments.
Responsibilities: (Full job description available on request):
Develop, install, and maintain planned maintenance and calibration schedules, adhering to quality system requirements.
Ensure availability and safety of jigs, fixtures, tooling, and equipment to support production schedules and technical development.
Maintain a culture of continuous improvement, adhering to safety standards and ensuring facility maintenance.
Provide rapid troubleshooting and breakdown support to manufacturing and technical teams.
Liaise with suppliers and contractors for tooling, equipment, and maintenance services.
Install and commission new equipment, documenting introductions, and changes as per quality system standards.
Ideal background:
Craft apprenticeship in Toolmaking with at least 3 years of practical maintenance experience.
PLC Logic programming and wiring experience is beneficial.
Problem-solving skills and practical experience in medical device/pharmaceutical manufacturing.
Good knowledge of quality systems related to maintenance and calibration.
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team.
Practical and logical troubleshooting abilities to resolve process and equipment issues.
