My client, a well established Adhesives Manufacturer, is seeking to hire a Machine Setter.
The Machine Setter is responsible for setting up, adjusting, and maintaining machines used in the production of adhesives in a manufacturing environment. The role ensures smooth machine operation, optimizes production efficiency, and maintains safety and quality standards. The position requires an individual with technical skills to troubleshoot equipment, perform routine maintenance, and ensure the production process is aligned with safety protocols and product specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
Machine Setup: Set up and adjust production machines, including mixers, fillers, and packaging machines, according to job specifications and process requirements.
Troubleshooting and Maintenance: Identify and resolve machine malfunctions, perform routine maintenance to ensure optimal machine performance, and replace worn or damaged parts as needed.
Production Monitoring: Monitor the production process to ensure machine performance is consistent, make necessary adjustments to maintain desired product quality, and meet production goals.
Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols, ensuring that all machinery operates in accordance with workplace safety standards and regulations. Maintain a clean and organized work area to prevent accidents.
Quality Control: Ensure that adhesive products meet quality specifications by conducting regular quality checks and performing tests on finished products.
Documentation: Maintain accurate records of machine settings, production quantities, maintenance activities, and any adjustments made to the machines or processes.
Collaboration: Work closely with the production team, operators, and supervisors to ensure efficient production and minimize downtime.
Process Improvement: Continuously suggest improvements to optimize machine performance, reduce waste, and enhance overall manufacturing efficiency.
Qualifications:
Technical training or certification in machine operation is a plus.
Proven experience as a machine setter or operator, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
This is a 38 hour week, with a competitive salary for the right candidate.
