Our client based here in Galway are looking to hire a Logistics Material Handler.


The Role:

To efficiently control and deliver materials (copper brazed/welded piping assemblies and components) in an industrial environment within Warehouse and Production Facility.

Assisting with all aspects of warehouse physical material flow in and out of the plant.



  • Efficiently delivering material and components to production lines on a regular set frequency to ensure correct stock levels and housekeeping is maintained;
  • Booking, labelling and designation of material to stock locations in FIFO mode whilst adjusting the Inventory levels in Rhombus (company material management system) accordingly;
  • Assist with the placement of material orders on suppliers;
  • Maintain and manage Kanban consumable stock levels;
  • Manage removal of recyclable and general waste (waste packaging, scrap materials, carboard and pallets) ensuring the correct levels of housekeeping (5S) is maintained at all times;
  • Picking and kitting of materials for Production will be required from time to time in order to prevent line stoppages;
  • Suggesting ways to improve material flow efficiencies and visual management, clear identification of components storage lineside location labelling, KanBan etc.;
  • Periodic stock checks on and off site as well as conducting rolling/perpetual inventory cycle counts when required;
  • General support within other areas of the Logistics department if required / holiday cover support;
  • General flexibility towards the Logistics department and a spirit of continuous improvement;
  • Forklift licence advantageous but training will be given if you don’t hold a licence;
  • Need to be flexible and willing to work on a 2 shift pattern as and when required;
  • Be prepared to work a reasonable amount of overtime if required.
