Logistics and Trade Compliance Supervisor

Logistics & Trade Compliance Supervisor required for a Galway city company, this is the primary contact in relation to all logistics and trade compliance activities. Will have proven abilities with regards to Trade Compliance and regulatory matters and manage the company’s relationships with all carriers for goods inwards and outwards. Leads and mentors the shipping team function within the warehouse.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Developing and maintaining relationships with all international carriers, including review of pricing and ensuring best use of company assets
  • Management of all Trace Compliance activities, including but not exclusive to commercial invoice creation, dispute resolution, customs clearance, liaising with business embassies
  • Primary contact in relation to all logistics activities on goods inwards and outwards.
  • Lead and motivate warehouse team to deliver high levels of productivity and quality.
  • Monitors work schedules of personnel to ensure that personnel are efficiently utilized.
  • Responsible for staffing of critical end-of-quarter activities: multiple carriers and customers all moving materials within a constrained time period.
  • Review of timecards, time off requests, performance reviews and other supervisory duties.
  • Provide ongoing training, development and feedback via coaching and counseling to all warehouse employees.
  • Develops and maintains ISO procedures for the department.


Requirements.

  • Primary degree in Supply Chain Management, Trade Compliance, or Business preferable.
  • Strong supervisory experience, 8 years plus in Logistics and/or Trade Compliance
  • Strong work ethic and problem-solving abilities.
  • Leadership ability to guide and mentor direct reports, prioritize workloads, fill projects quickly and handle a steady workflow.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel and Word. Ability to use shipping-related software applications.
