Our client, a global medical device manufacturer are seeking an experienced Lead Project Engineer to join their engineering team.
This role will lead the delivery of strategic capital and process development projects, supporting manufacturing expansion, new product introduction, automation initiatives, and continuous improvement activities.
Key Responsibilities
Lead engineering projects related to manufacturing capacity expansion, automation, new product introduction, and cost reduction initiatives.
Develop and manage project plans, schedules, budgets, risks, and resources throughout the project lifecycle.
Drive the development and implementation of new manufacturing processes and technologies.
Lead cross-functional project teams and provide technical guidance to project engineers and stakeholders.
Manage equipment and process development activities, including vendor engagement, proof-of-concept work, and process validation.
Support design transfer, change control, and process qualification activities.
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, quality, and cost performance.
Ensure compliance with quality, regulatory, and health & safety requirements.
Communicate project progress, milestones, risks, and outcomes to key stakeholders and senior leadership.
Requirements
Degree in Engineering, Science, or a related technical discipline.
Minimum 7 years' experience within a manufacturing, engineering, or regulated industry environment.
At least 3 years' experience managing engineering or capital projects.
Strong project management, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.
Experience delivering automation, process development, or manufacturing improvement projects.
Knowledge of validation, change control, and regulated manufacturing environments is desirable.
