Lead Maintenance Technician

An exciting opportunity for an experienced Lead Maintenance Technician to join a multinational electronics manufacturer based in North Cork on a permanent contract. This role will be based on a 3x12 shift pattern that rotates every 2 weeks.

Role Responsibilities:

  • To plan, organise and co-ordinate work ensuring maximum utilisation of equipment and resources and achievement of goals.
  • To continue to carry out a hands on maintenance role.
  • To ensure that the maintenance equipment and personnel in all cost centres is being utilised to its maximum efficiency.
  • To ensure that scheduled PM's are carried out and that all issues as a result are followed through.
  • Demonstrate initiative to improve equipment performacne, changeover time, cost effectivenes, time wasting, scrap and PPM reduction.
  • To check the type and accuracy of spares in stores for key equipment.
  • To resolve all outstanding housekeeping issues, maintain machine, as well as supervising the personnel on the weekend shift.
  • Attend and contribute positively to production and other meetings.
  • Effectively communicate all matters concerning area of responsibility to employees and relevant authorities.
  • Overall responsibility for health, safety and well-being of self and staff.
  • Any other duties as assigned by your Supervisor / Manager.

Role Requirements:

  • Cert/Diploma in Engineering (Minimum NFQ Level 6) in Electronic/Electrical.
  • Min Experience 2 years in a hands on maintenance role. Product and process experience essential. 
  • Good overall knowledge of all equipment and processes. Proven capability demonstrated to lead and supervise employees. Well motivated individual with initiative, outgoing personality with leadership ability. Good communication skills with the ability to work well and deal with other people.
  • Highly motivated well driven individual with very good communication skills and ability to lead a team.
