Label Development Coordinator

Our client, a leading healthcare company in Cavan, is keen to hire a Label Development Co-ordinator to join their team on a 12-month contract. The Label Development Co-ordinator will be responsible for co-ordinating label development, approval, and control.

Key Responsibilities (Full job description available on request):

  •  Creation, review and issuing of PPS’s, ensuring compliance with individual markets and their regulatory and marketing requirements.

  •  Communicate with Cross Functional Assessment Teams to ensure PIERs (Projects Incoming to Site) are evaluated and approved in a timely manner.

  •  Establish strong links with the markets and develop these links in line with the clients strategy to become a centre of excellence.

  •  Label creation projects are to be completed within deadline dates, this includes but not limited to assigning Commodities, Barcodes, Coding Formats, Materials Suppliers, and all relevant information which is to be included in the creation of the final PPS (Product & Packaging Specification).

  • To provide input as relevant during plant development projects relating to Label Copy development and influence where necessary on projects, schedules etc. to ensure timing, implementation and follow up issues are completed on time and within budget.

  • Prepare registration packages, FLTS documentation and other information for affiliates in line with new and ongoing developments.

  • Development and validation of new commodities and printing template formats when necessary.

  • A keen eye for attention to detail and the ability to analyse data to check for errors and inaccuracies is essential for success.

Ideal background:

  • Degree in Food Science/Dairy Science/ Packaging Technology or Nutritional Food Science or any fundamental science degree.

  • Strong understanding of compliance and quality standards.

  •  Excellent interpersonal skills and management skills.

  • Ability to communicate with all levels of the organisation.

  • Communicate effectively with cross-functional team.

  • Resolve conflict constructively.

  • Assigning incorrect materials and commodities can lead to major production, regulatory, consumer, market issues and even product recall.
