Our client, a premier juice production company is seeking to recruit a Key Account Manager. This is a permanent position based in Ballybofey.
The succesful candidate will have a strong track record of success in the delivery of business growth in an FMCG environment - driving sales, geographical expansion and introduction of new products
Responsibilities
As a Key Account Manager, you will be responsible for the following:
1. Sales & Key Account Management
- Develop and execute new business across the range of food service accounts and businesses of strategic importance in the UK and Northern Ireland
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships at a high level with main food service accounts, to maximise sales opportunities, and enhance the commercial relationship
- Directly manage the tender processes and volume/price negotiations for large accounts
2. Commercial Management
- Develop commercial strategies for all major accounts with pricing strategies, annual sales and contribution targets, fully aligned to the business objectives and translated to functional /regional /customer/team objectives
- Ensuring that raw material pricing changes or increased production costs are factored into overall pricing strategies and contract reviews
- Collate sales & market data/trends and market intelligence
3. Marketing and Business Enhancement
- Take account of the strategic plan and business objectives, to lead on the execution of cost-effective and innovative marketing plans that support sales growth, are vibrant and engaging
- Oversee the development of regular market and customer service reviews to provide detailed insight into company performance, and track competitor activity, pricing and market changes
- Work with key members of the management team, applying continuous improvement philosophies to deliver efficiencies and better outcomes for the customers, maximise customer retention and build the brand reputation
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years management experience in a business development/sales growth role
- Has contributed significantly to the commercial success of an FMCG business (desirable)
- A self-starter who delivers consistently and is data and intelligence-driven
- Ability to travel frequently around Ireland and to and from the UK
