Our client, Carbery - a global company owned by the farmers of west Cork, are looking for a Key Account Manager to join their team on a permanent contract. Carbery are looking for an account manager for Retail to oversee the relationships of Irish Retailers both for the Brands (Dubliner and Carbery Cracker) and Private label space. Along with direct retail there will be a selection of B2B customers in Ireland that are key partners with Carbery in delivering final products to Retail.
Job Spec:
- Develop and maintain strategic long-term trusting relationships with Retail accounts to accomplish ongoing growth and long-term company objectives.
- Work closely with partners delivering strategic opportunities to further expand Carbery’s retail presence in the Irish market
- Develop Joint Business plan approach for all key accounts to deliver on annual business plan targets
- Manage pricing strategy for all accounts and consistently to deliver profitability targets.
- Work closely with customers to develop new product opportunities aligned to Carbery’s strategy and co-ordinate cross-functional execution of projects.
- Continuously stay connected to retail data and consumer trends as part of proactively developing promotional approach and new product development
- Work with cross functional departments to ensure supply chain is meeting the customer forecasted requirements inclusive of promotional activity.
- Align customer activity to Carbery’s stated ESG policy of reducing plastics and in particular plastic waste and write-offs
- Manage retail field team
- Act as the owner of the retail business strategy reporting regularly to stake holders
Requirements
- Proven track record in retail in Ireland
- Previous experience in the food industry
- Must be available to travel for client visits
- Experience in sales and providing solutions based on customer needs
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with aptitude in building relationships with professionals of all organizational levels
- Excellent organizational skills
- Ability in problem-solving and negotiation
