We have an attractive opportunity for a Junior EHS Specialist to join a growing multinational medical device company in Clonmel, Co.Tipperary. This position is a fixed-term contract - 12 months contract. Overview of Main Responsibilities:
- Collaborating with the EHS Manager to facilitate initiatives aligning with the on-site EHS strategy.
- Undertaking ongoing improvement projects to bolster the on-site EHS Culture and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- Assisting EHS Coordinators in conducting risk assessments, recognizing and mitigating potential hazards and risks.
- Co-ordinating environmental monitoring in accordance with the site's monitoring plan.
- Streamlining standard procedures to ensure timely execution of actions and scheduling necessary meetings.
- Delivering EHS-focused training, particularly induction programs, ensuring active participation and proper record-keeping.
- Conducting internal EHS audits as per site schedules, reporting findings, suggesting recommendations, and overseeing follow-up actions.
- Assisting in organizing and executing EHS awareness events at the site.
What the ideal Junior EHS Specialist looks like:
- Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Health and Safety or equivalent.
- 1 + years working in a similar role in EHS preferably in a manufacturing environment is desirable.
- Knowledge of risk assessments and the hierarchy of control is desirable
