Job Title: IT Project Coordinator

Location: Mullingar, Co. Westmeath

Our client, a leading Construction Contractor delivering complex, large-scale, and award-winning projects across Ireland and the UK, has an exciting opportunity for an IT Project Coordinator to join their energetic team.

The IT Project Coordinator plays a key role in driving business process improvement and supporting digital adoption across the organisation. Working closely with internal teams and the company’s external IT service provider, this role focuses on coordination, change management, and ensuring the effective use of digital systems. This is not an IT Technical Support role. The position supports both office-based and site-based teams, helping to improve efficiency and maximise the value of business systems.

Key requirements:

  • Serve as the primary contact for IT-related matters between the business and external IT service providers.
  • Coordinate IT and digital improvement projects aimed at enhancing operational efficiency.
  • Act as a superuser for key business platforms, promoting digital adoption and best practice across teams.
  • Provide IT induction and training for staff, including onboarding and offboarding of equipment.
  • Identify opportunities for workflow automation and implement process improvements across the business.
  • Oversee IT systems and ensure compliance with internal policies and relevant legislation, including management of IT filing systems.
  • Liaise with external providers to maintain and strengthen the organisation’s cybersecurity framework.
  • Coordinate procurement and budgeting for IT hardware, and facilitate system upgrades and maintenance with relevant stakeholders.

Key Requirements

  • 3–5 years’ experience in an IT Business Process, IT Coordinator, or IT Support role, ideally within a construction, engineering, or multi-site environment. Alternatively, a construction professional with strong IT proficiency and systems experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in IT, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Strong organisational and coordination skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Proven ability to deliver training and support digital tool adoption across teams.
  • Experience developing digital forms, automated workflows, and process improvements.
  • Good understanding of IT infrastructure, with a focus on process improvement and compliance.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 and other business IT platforms.
  • Practical working knowledge of digital systems and the ability to collaborate effectively with operational teams across various sites.
