As the IT Manager, you will oversee a number of key functions within the IT department that enables the delivery of high quality services to end users across a number of sites ensuring service support and service delivery processes are in place to meet challenging and growing business needs.

Responsibilities

Ensure the efficient running of the day to day IT operations

Management of IT team and allocating resources across 5 disperse sites

Ensure appropriate service level, KPI’s and controls are in place and are delivered in a process driven fashion

Support key stakeholders, business units and sites in IT related activities in a cost effective manner

Translate business requirements into delivered IT solutions efficiently and cost effectively

Manage various IT projects throughout the business

Manage 3rd party vendors and suppliers

Manage the training and development plans for all members of function

Implement IT policies, procedures and best practise for regulatory purposes and data protection

Business continuity in a busy high production environment

Skills & Experience Required

Technology

This is very much a hands-on role, and recent technical experience managing a broad cross-section of technologies is required.

Education, knowledge and experience

  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a senior IT role.

  • A professional IT Certification.

  • Strong IT skills including extensive knowledge Microsoft and networking technologies.

  • IT Project management across concurrent projects

  • Vendor management

  • Knowledge of cloud applications and infrastructure

  • IT transformation and organisational change projects especially in terms of ERP, wit

  • SAP experience an advantage

  • Strong knowledge in the areas of security, backup, DR and data protection policies and procedures

 

Personal Qualities and Skills

  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational and administrative skills and a proactive approach to anticipating and managing challenges and risks.

  • Ability to interact professionally with staff at all levels of the organization, both verbally and in writing.

  • Excellent communication skills be able to work in virtual teams.

  • Reliability and attention to detail.
