IT Engineer (remote/hybrid)

They are on the lookout for an experienced IT Engineer to join their team and play a fundamental role in the next phase of the company's growth. Key Responsibilities (full list of responsibilities can be made available upon request)

  • Resolve server problems of varying complexity with an understanding of the urgency in a production environment
  • Provide engineer support for AWS and a Hybrid Azure Active Directory and Multi-Geo M365 Tenants
  • Provide engineer support for Exchange Server, Exchange Online and Teams Phone System
  • Maintain the Corporate and Production Virtual Server Environment (VMware)
  • Manage system images, patching, and end-user software with our MDM and agent-based management systems
  • Monitor threats and maintain antivirus server and cloud-based email, network, and data protection consoles
  • Provide mobile end user support for VelocityEHS within “in-office” environments and remote global workforce
  • Create and maintain existing system, implementation, and SOP documentation
  • Hardware and software procurement based on technology budget, company needs and procurement policies
  • Create and manage reporting for systems across environments and applications
  • Manage and maintain the Software-Defined Data Centre (SDDC)
  • Provide out of normal work hours support for staff in multiple time zones and geo locations
  • Create IT processes, SOPs, and automate workflows
  • Assist the CFO in assuring ongoing compliance such as the Sarbanes-Oxley Act and GDPR
  • Linux production knowledge on any Linux distribution.

Key Requirements (full list of responsibilities can be made available upon request)

  • Bachelor’s Degree or substantial relevant experience
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in systems administration in a Windows-based environment
  • Experience with agent-based system management and deployment procedures
  • Excellent troubleshooting and documentation skills
  • Comfortable creating new IT automation with PowerShell and other scripting tools.
  • Experience with SANs (Storage Area Networks)
  • Solid understanding of TCP/IP and related components.

Advantageous Skills To Have

  • GitLab CI/CD
  • Basic web server administration
  • Adobe ColdFusion experience
  • Container Orchestration (Kubernetes, Docker Swarm, Nomad, or similar)
  • Secrets Management (AWS Secrets Manager, Vault, Docker Secrets or similar)
