As part of our ongoing development, we are seeking an experienced HR Manager to join our new Centre of Excellence in Galway. This is an exciting high-impact role with focus on building a strong culture in the midst of dynamic growth!

Supporting a group of up to 300 persons across all functions, this role will be responsible for all aspects of HR including recruitment, ER, organisational design, rewards and HR projects.

Duties and Responsibilities

The key responsibilities of this role will be to own the delivery and effectiveness of core People and Culture processes and responsibilities for Galway including:

  • Business Partner
    • Acting as trusted advisor and coach to leaders in areas of HR strategy, culture, leadership, talent management, rewards, and change management.
    • Participate as an active member of the site senior leadership team, developing and driving initiatives and programs that meet local needs, while remaining aligned with global strategies
    • Supporting current and future business needs through the development, engagement, motivation and preservation of human capital
  • Employee Lifecycle activities
    • Work with the Talent Acquisition to optimize our recruiting operations
    • Manage on-boarding, transfers, off-boarding, leave management
  • Employee Relations
    • Effectively partner with business unit leaders to manage employee relations and provide guidance on complex employment matters
    • Resolve grievances in line with company policy and procedures, in a professional manner
  • Compensation and Benefits
    • Benefits planning and administration
    • Ensure rewards package remains competitive in the marketplace
  • Training & Development
    • Develop, manage and maintain performance management processes and systems
    • Implement and maintain relevant employee development programs
    • Sourcing and coordination of training providers
  • Compliance and Policy management
    • Responsible for people data reporting and records management, administer the Company’s HRIS platform
  • Lead a HR team of 2-3 HR employees, providing coaching and advice

Qualifications and Experience

  • Degree in HR Management or related discipline
  • CIPD accreditation desirable
  • Knowledge of Irish Employment legislation
  • 7+ years’ experience, minimum 5 in a HR Manager or HR Business Partner position
  • Experience working closely with senior management
  • Comfortable with a mix of strategic, operational and some admin duties i.e. end to end HR
  • Experience in multinational and manufacturing environments required
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong relationship builder with excellent commercial awareness
  • Integrity and approachability
  • Influencing and negotiating skills
