HR Manager required with 5 years plus experience, healthcare experience along with a knowledge of relevant HIQA accreditation processes would be an advantage. Galway city.



  • To successfully develop and manage and execute the company HR function and all employee / client and stakeholder relations activity
  • Develop annual HR Strategy and provide strategic HR direction and planning into the activities of the organisation and as they apply to the overall performance of the company
  • Partner with Senior leadership management team in developing key HR strategic initiatives to deliver employee engagement and talent acquisition
  • Provide HR employment law support and development and adapt changes to fit organisational requirements
  • In conjunction with senior management, set and manage the annual HR budget
  • Develop and present key KPI reporting and metrics
  • Manage the end-to-end recruitment process for the business, ensuring that the highest calibre staff are recruited to meet organisational service needs
  • Ongoing support and engagement with staff
  • Manage contract development and SLA’s for employees, clients and stakeholders
  • File/documentation maintenance and management
  • Management of full employee life cycle to include, onboarding, training, appraisal, performance management and exit procedures
  • Manage the training and development function through evaluation of CPD and training needs, induction training and supportive HR and training documentation ensuring compliance in line with company, legislative and all health and safety requirements
  • Guide and support management with all matters in regard, to employee relations ensuring compliance within legislation and regulative environment
  • Liaise and engage with external bodies and stakeholders (e.g. HSE/HIQA) to monitor trends and best practice re employment and client care and advise on appropriate proactive action for improved company performance
  • Maintain the company governance framework in conjunction with senior management and review, identify, develop, and implement policies and procedures relating to same
  • Manage and conduct disciplinary and welfare cases, capability and grievances where appropriate
  • Develop and implement programs to effectively communicate the company’s key messages to employees and stakeholders


  • Must 5 years of experience in a similar position is essential, background in healthcare along with a knowledge of relevant HIQA accreditation processes would be an advantage. 
  • Degree or 3rd level qualification in business or Human Resources
  • CIPD membership is desirable
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
