Human Resource Manager required for a leading company on the outskirts of Galway.

The HR Manager will be located in Galway and report to the Directors, the HR Manager will have sole responsibility for the HR function for up to 150 employees. Providing support and advice on all areas of HR, including but not limited to, Recruitment and Selection, Payroll, Employee Relations, Performance Management, Training and Development, and Communications.


  • Manage, lead and develop the Human Resources function. 
  • Act as an advisor in all areas of HR.
  • Effective management of end-to-end HR; employee data and HR administration in line with legislative requirements and best practice.
  • Manage recruitment processes ensuring business requirements are met.
  • Promote training and development initiatives.
  • Timely and accurate management of weekly payrolls with complete ownership from start to end.
  • Develop, manage and maintain performance management processes and systems.
  • Manage effective employee relations.
  • Develop, implement and adhere to relevant company policies and procedures.


  • CIPD Qualification essential.
  • Experience in Sage is an advantage.
  • Demonstrated experience operating in a senior Human Resources role (a minimum of five years of general HR experience).
  • Proficient user of MS Office, HRIS, and Payroll systems.
  • Excellent working knowledge of employment legislation.
  • Proven ability to manage sensitive employment matters in a professional manner. 
  • Effective decision-making and problem-solving skills. 
  • Strong and effective professional relationship builder.
  • Integrity and approachability.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a team player.
