We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced HR Generalist to join a well-known not-for-profit organisation based in Cork. This is a 12-month contract with a potential for permanency and can be worked on a 4-day week or a full-time basis. The HR Generalist will perform a wide range of functions to ensure the smooth running of the HR department and will support on managing the HR system Softworks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Documentation and system management for end-to-end HR activities.
- Overseeing the system including performing updates, managing user access, generating reports and analytics, and providing technical support.
- Running weekly and monthly reports in Softworks and presenting the reports to the Leadership team.
- Monitor and update policies and procedures in line with employment legislation.
- Assisting HR with recruitment, including job descriptions, and drafting contracts.
- Supporting on employee induction and orientation.
- Monitoring compliance and reporting on the performance management process.
- Support the delivery of the People Strategy with administration.
- Compiling and maintaining up-to-date employee records.
- Supporting HR-related training programmes, workshops, and seminars.
- Cover for the HR Manager during periods of absence.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a HR focused role with strong technical expertise and experience in maintaining HR systems.
- Relevant 3rd level qualification or CIPD membership.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong planning and organisational skills.
- Ability to achieve results working collaboratively and independently.
- Full clean driving license.
- Subject to full Garda vetting.
