HR Generalist - Leitrim - Permanent - Onsite

Reporting to the HR Manager, the HR Generalist will support the plant by assisting in coordinating and administering a variety of HR programmes and activities, HR policies and processes.


  • Assist to coordinate or administer various aspects of the company’s compensation and benefit, recruitment, training, organization development, and employee relations programmes, in compliance with corporate policy and national employment legislation
  • Lead and coordinate the organsation Learning Management System (EdApp) to assist with the plants training requirements.
  • Performs a full spectrum of HR functions including recruitment, salary administration, compensation & benefits, employee relations, HR system maintenance and other ad hoc projects
  • Assists in implementing group-wide HR policies and procedures
  • May be required to support the HR team to arrange or coordinate meetings, agenda preparation, meeting room booking, and to take and transcribe meeting minutes
  • Function as liaison / HR Advisor between managers, leads and employees on various issues including communication of policies, practices and procedures related to site operations
  • Provides all necessary information and documents required by new and terminated employees
  • Performs clerical human resources tasks such as maintenance and filing of personnel records, processing of personnel documents.
  • Attend recruitment fairs, Expo’s and other HR related events


  • A qualification in Human Resources Management and/or Business; evidence of continuing learning and development within the field of human resources management
  • HR / office administration experience an advantage, with good organisational skills
  • Ability to build trust and maintain confidentiality is critical
  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organisation
  • Strong PC skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access)
  • Knowledge of employment legislation and relevant issues
