The role

This role is responsible for providing comprehensive, proactive and responsive HR advisory and administrative support for the site.  Reporting to the HR Manager, this role requires an individual with the ability to provide practical day-to-day employment advice and guidance and deliver high-quality HR administration across the full employee life cycle for all the Group.



  • Recruitment and selection- To support the HR Manager and the hiring managers on all recruitment and selection activities from requisition to hire.
  • Employee Relations
    • Act as a trusted advisor to Line Managers on Employee Relations matters including handling first level disciplinary and grievance processes, etc. ensuring compliance with legislation and adherence to Company policies and best practice.
    • Provide additional support to the HR Manager as required for employee relations meetings, invitations, minutes of meetings and meeting output as required.
    • Support and monitor the probation process across sites of responsibility.
  • HR Administration
    • To provide comprehensive HR administrative support to the sites. This will include but not be limited to:
      • Payroll administration (collation and submission of weekly and monthly payroll inputs for all payrolls)
      • Maintenance of the HRIS and TMS system – keeping all employee records up to date, running reports, conducting regular audits to ensure absence tracking data is up to date etc.
      • Pensions administration including engagement with brokers, and communication with employees as required
      • Healthcare administration, including communication with employees, and the healthcare provider as appropriate
      • Draft and send appropriate letters for changes to terms and conditions and leavers.
      • Car Fleet Management.
  • Training & Compliance
    • Support managers in the implementation of and adherence to company compliance policies by conducting regular briefings, and training.
    • To run the company Induction for new starters.
    • To co-ordinate attendance, send joining instructions and liaise with local hotels for employees when in attendance of any company training courses.
  • HR Lifecycle support
    • Co-coordinating onboarding and offboarding processes to include IT setup, HRIS setup, Employee Orientation and return of equipment
    • Maintenance of the HRIS, keeping all employee records up to date, running reports, conducting regular audits to ensure absence tracking data is up to date etc.
    • Support Line Managers and Department Heads in managing short term absence and levels of attrition within their business areas, highlighting key trends and putting action plans in place as appropriate.
    • Co-ordination of Payroll inputs and communication with the Payroll Administrator for all payrolls as well as the payroll bureau
    • Conducting exit interviews for all relevant roles and co-ordinate the employee exit process as required.



  • 3 years + HR Advisor/Coordination/Generalist experience in a similar environment
  • Qualification in HR or related discipline or working towards the same
  • Experience of advising managers on first stage disciplinary and performance matters
  • Working knowledge of Irish employment law
  • Excellent, proven, organisation and administration skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact with people at all levels in the organisation
  • Proven ability to work on own initiative
  • High accuracy and attention to detail
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a positive, enthusiastic and solutions focus attitude
  • Candidates must be mobile and willing to travel on occasion to the other sites
