Head of Timberframe Manufacturing

They provide high-quality timber products for the construction, pallet wood, and fencing sectors, and are also specialists in manufacturing timber frame homes and engineered roof trusses. We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Timber Frame Manufacturing to join our client’s team in Longford. This pivotal role involves overseeing the operations of their timber frame business, ensuring optimal production efficiency, and maintaining high standards of customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute business strategies to achieve both short-term and long-term goals.
  • Operational Oversight: Manage the daily operations of the timber frame manufacturing unit, ensuring timely and quality production.
  • Customer Focus: Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers to meet their needs and exceed expectations.
  • Sales & Market Insight: Provide strategic sales advice and market insights to drive business growth.
  • Business Planning: Develop and implement plans to improve cost efficiency and operational effectiveness.
  • Team Management: Supervise, guide, and delegate tasks across the team to ensure smooth operations.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure all products meet quality standards and customer requirements.
  • Compliance: Maintain adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations within the manufacturing process.
  • Continuous Improvement: Recommend and implement improvements to foster a culture of continuous enhancement in production and safety.
  • Crisis Management: Assess and resolve any operational issues or challenges that arise promptly and effectively.

Requirements:

  • Industry Experience: Minimum of 5 years in a senior management role within timber frame manufacturing or a related construction sector.
  • Leadership Skills: Proven ability to manage and motivate teams effectively.
  • Customer Relations: Experience in building trusted relationships with key customers.
  • Technical Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of timber frame and roof truss manufacturing processes.
  • Operational Excellence: Ability to engage with design teams and optimize manufacturing processes for timely delivery.
