Global Principal Supply Chain Planner - Galway
Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and implementation of new supply chain processes that enhance clarity, alignment, scalability, and efficiency.
- Utilize your proficiency in Microsoft 365, particularly Excel for automation, analytics, and insights, with the aim of enhancing our supply chain processes.
- A significant part of this role is to drive digital transformation by reducing reliance on manual spreadsheets and transitioning towards more automated, efficient, and scalable systems. An ability to create VBA code in Excel would be a strong plus, although not a requirement.
- Review and understand demand signals from regional Demand Planning/Scheduling. Work closely with Marketing/Customers to identify all known demand sources.
- Embrace the opportunity to spearhead the expansion of innovative new products.
- As the driving force behind our planning strategies and process development, you'll meticulously craft the terms and conditions for product launches ensuring a seamless and successful introduction to market.
- Monitor inventory performance, recommend improvement strategies, and action findings. Manage expired, excess, and obsolescence reserves.
- As a Principal Planner, you'll deepen your understanding and keep pace with the dynamic landscape of supply chain management. You'll also take on the rewarding task of sharing your knowledge and experiences, helping to uplift the team and foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
Requirements:
- Level 8 Degree (240 credits) in a relevant discipline such as Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or any other relevant discipline.
- 5+ years’ experience in supply chain, materials management, or manufacturing planning.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft 365, particularly in leveraging it for automation, analytics, and insights.
- Knowledge of Kinaxis RapidResponse or similar supply chain management software would be beneficial but not required.
- Proven track record of developing and implementing new processes in a supply chain context.
- Demonstrated ability to share knowledge, mentor colleagues, and foster a collaborative learning environment within the team
