Excellent opportunity for an Experienced IT Automation Engineering Manager to join a global biologics leader in Ireland. The role is a global business partner responsible for sites in Ireland and worldwide in terms of new automation and digitilisation projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong IT Automation background in a pharma / biotech setting.
Overview of your responsibilities (full job description available on request):
- Act as global project and service partner to support regional and global sites in new automation /digitalization projects, sustaining improvement and operational optimization.
- Work with technical teams and business stakeholders to gather user requirements to form technical solutions.
- Lead and coordinate life-cycle project management for delivery of automation systems, Vendor VPEs integrations, Building management System (BMS), and OT applications such as PI, MES.
- Support activities such as document drafting, design review, acceptance testing, and qualifications as per GAMP5 for automation and computerized systems.
- Drive functional commitment on the project and provide oversight and coordination to seamlessly integrate automation execution workstreams.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required for the Role:
- Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering, Generic Engineering, Biochemistry, Automation, Electrical& Instrument
- Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in pharmaceutical/biological industry.
- Advantageous to be familiar with biologics drug manufacturing processes.
- Prior working experience in projects involving System integration, Automation, Instrumentation and Controls, or manufacturing digitalization within pharmaceutical/biochemical/biological industry.
- Experience leading complex projects and cross-functional initiatives.
- Familiar with at least one major brand DCS and with good working knowledge on other systems like BMS/SCADA/PLC systems
- Experience folowing the GAMP5 validation approach
