Job Title:                        Full Time Permanent Compliance Assistant

Reporting To:                Head of Compliance


Support the Head of Compliance with a range of compliance activities with emphasis on achieving the Annual Compliance Plan, continuous improvement of compliance systems and processes and support for the business to ensure awareness of applicable compliance requirements 

Key Areas of Responsibility:

  • Assist the Head of Compliance to ensure the successful achievement of the Annual Compliance Plan, including the completion of risk assessments, auditing and
  • Advise the Company on applicable compliance regulations, legislation and codes of
  • Offer advice and support to colleagues on compliance regulations, legislation and codes of conduct as
  • Assessment of emerging regulations and new
  • Ensure marketing material, non system generated correspondence and change requests comply with all regulatory requirements and retain records of all sign
  • Prepare and present training for new employees on the applicable compliance
  • Prepare and present refresher training sessions for existing employees on the applicable compliance requirements or any additional requirements/change to
  • Compile and respond to data access requests within regulatory time
  • Investigate and report data breaches within regulatory time frames.
  • Call Monitoring
  • Assist with resolving and responding to complaints within the regulatory timeframes and in the best interests of our customers at all times.
  • Maintain the compliance and data protection email inboxes, by responding to queries within the required
  • Maintain and Update compliance Policies and Procedures
  • Preparation of Management Reports/Updates. 


Essential Requirements

  • Either an Insurance Qualification or have successfully completed a Compliance Qualification or the Compliance Module of an Insurance Qualification . Insurance Qualification meaning either APA in Personal General Insurance and/or Life, CIP or QFA. Compliance Qualification/Module meaning the Professional Certificate/Diploma in Compliance OR Successful completion of the “PDI02” module through the III or the “Regulations” module through the IOB. Note that where the successful Candidate holds only one of these designations, they will be required to sit exams to obtain the other designations at the next available
  • Confidential and trust
  • Proven track record in fast paced
  • Knowledge of regulations & the regulatory environment. In partilcuar, knowledge of both current and upcoming regulations/codes of conduct that apply
  • Excellent MS Office, Word, Powerpoint and Excel
  • Experience in facilitation of meetings and/or presenting
  • Highly organised approach to work and ability to multi–task and prioritise in a fast paced
  • Excellent written & spoken English with exceptional listening, analytical and communication
  • Able to meet tight deadlines & work well under
  • Confident, approachable & team
  • Ability to build rapport and relationships within all levels within the
  • Attention to detail with good planning & organisational
  • Ability to ensure that compliance standards are maintained at all
  • Proactive approach and quality focus with execution & “can do”

Desirable Requirements

  • Professional Certificate in Compliance
  • Professional Diploma in
  • CIP
  • Proven track record in a similar compliance role
  • Familiarity with procedure writing and upkeep
