Within this role, the chosen candidate should have an analytical mind and a strong business acumen and also strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail are essential.This person will be responsible for supporting sales efforts to improve the internal supply chain by using data-driven analytics to propose new approaches and develop new business processes.

 This role requires significant experience in supply chain analytics including the modeling of both supply chain and product architecture options.

 Duties and responsibilities

  • Create processes and methods to gather supply chain data
  • Develop, improve and support fulfillment models, supplier and supply chain strategies to support organizational goals
  • Support sourcing, due diligence and supplier management for main GSS Logistics Solutions
  • Perform a variety of business analysis and ad hoc analytical support to develop insights and business recommendations
  • Analyze data to identify problematic areas and suggest improvements
  • Discover the most cost-effective shipping modes and schedules for major GSS trade lanes
  • Evaluate vendor operations (e.g. freight forwarders) according to quality standards
  • Collaborate with IT professionals to implement effective systems for GSS Logistics solutions
  • Partner with Sales and Business Development team to manage client expectations and ensure alignment in work process and deliverables
  • Create and administer formal project review for lessons learned and continue process improvement on every WIN or LOSS
  • Managing multiple competing priorities and multiple projects/programs at one time
  • Supports Regional Manager with business intelligence, data analysis and modeling, and presentation material

 

Requirements

  • BSc/BA in Logistics, Business Analytics, Mathematics or a related field
  • Proven experience as a Supply Chain Analyst, Logistics Coordinator or similar role
  • Experience in data mining, analysis and reporting
  • Familiarity with supply chain processes
  • Working knowledge of MS Office, relational databases and ERP systems
  • Working knowledge of Tableau or other visual analytics tools
  • Working knowledge of Llamasoft / Supply Chain Guru or similar tools will be a plus
  • Working knowledge of TMS system(s) will be a plus
  • Analytical mind with business acumen
  • Possess a process improvement mindset, ability to understand sales process, technical integrations, and client onboarding processes
  • Understanding of Supply Chain Management operational concepts surrounding; planning, inventory control, purchasing, logistics and warehouse operations
  • Outstanding organizational ability
