We have a new opportunity for a Food Processing Operator to join a leading chemical manufacturer, based in Little Island, Cork. This is a permanent day’s role (7.30am to 4pm) located a 10-minute walk from the train station.
Key Responsibilities:
Adhere to company quality, health & safety, food safety, and hygiene standards at all times.
Operate, monitor, and maintain processing equipment to ensure efficient production of food-grade chemical products.
Manufacture products in line with production schedules, specifications, and quality standards.
Follow standard operating procedures for ingredient preparation, blending, filling, packing, and other production activities.
Ensure the safe handling and correct storage of raw materials and finished products.
Carry out routine cleaning and sanitisation of equipment and work areas, maintaining high housekeeping standards.
Accurately complete production records, logs, and reports, ensuring traceability and reporting any issues encountered.
Identify and promptly report quality deviations, equipment issues, or process concerns to the Production Supervisor.
Requirements:
Previous experience in food production, food processing, or a similar role in the food industry is desirable.
Forklift license in desirable.
Hard-working and enjoys practical activities.
Able to work well as part of a team and independently.
Ability to understand and follow written work instructions, standard operating procedures, and safety data sheets.
