Our Client, a global healthcare leader who specialises in life-changing technologies is currently recruiting for a Fitter. This is a 12-month contract and is based in Cavan.
Responsibilities
As a Fitter, you will be responsible for:
- Maintaining Plant and Equipment at Optimum performance and provide utilities to Manufacturing Department and General Plant to achieve yearly plan
- Minimise downtime in production and utility areas
- Carry out maintenance and troubleshooting on plant and equipment
- Carry out installation and commissioning of plant and equipment
- Use diagnostic tools for condition monitoring of Plant and Equipment
- Carry out engineering work orders in a timely and safe manner while maintaining adherence to cGMP and full compliance with procedures
- Carry out plant preventative maintenance programme as scheduled
- Follow correct procedure when carrying out hotwork & confined space entry ensuring work permits are fully complete and in compliance with SOP’s
- When working on equipment ensure the correct lockout – tagout procedure is adhered to

Requirements
- Have a recognized mechanical apprenticeship
- Senior or junior trades certificates in mechanical craft
- A minimum of six months on the job experience with demonstrated ability in mechanical field
- An ability to read diagrams and troubleshoot equipment
- Ability to work on platforms, scaffolding & ladders
