Financial Controller

Our client, a top 10 accounting practice in Ireland, is looking for a Financial Controller to join their well established finance team. This is a new role.

Responsibilities for the Financial Controller:

  • Managing financial activities, encompassing budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and KPI evaluations.
  • Engaging actively in the annual budget preparation process.
  • Examining and interpreting overhead expenses and discrepancies compared to the budget.
  • Creating cash flow statements, budgets, and forecasts.
  • Tracking and evaluating financial data, including revenues and expenses.
  • Performing financial analysis to uncover trends, variances, and improvement opportunities.
  • Analyzing, presenting, and tracking chargeability, recoverability, and utilization within the business.
  • Compiling the reporting package for senior executives.
  • Establishing and upholding internal controls to ensure adherence to regulations and company 

Requirements for the Financial Controller:

  • Fully qualified accountant e.g. ACA, ACCA qualifications or equivalent
  • 2-3 years of post-qualification experience
  • Familiarity with payroll software such as CoreTime, Drive, CCH, or CollSoft.
  • People management experience is desirable
  • Must have excellent communication skills, ability to work to deadlines, ability to work on own initiative
