Financial Analyst

A global healthcare leader is keen to hire a Financial Analyst to join their team in Longford. This is a 12-month temporary contract.

Reporting to the Assistant Plant Controller you will support several key areas of the business. The ideal candidate must possess excellent data accuracy and analytical skills, be capable of working on their own initiative and able to prioritise tasks and work under time constraints.

Responsibilities

As a Financial Analyst, you will be responsible for the following:

  • Collating and Management of Expense files in MS Excel under various Expense Categories

  • Maintaining spend targets in SAP and Power BI for Plan and Latest Business Estimates (LBE)

  • Monitoring of actual spend against these Targets and Variance Analysis Commentary/Communication

  • Liaising with other Departments and Senior Managers in the Business on spend issues

  • Management of Excel Reporting Files for Month End Close Process

  • Month end processing of spend and inventory journals to SAP

  • CSO Monthly and Quarterly Returns

  • Support the FP&A Team for Annual Plan and Forecasting Process

  • Management of Time-Sheet recording for Projects

  • Ad-hoc financial tasks as the business demands

  • Monitoring and Presenting Monthly and Quarterly targets to the Business Managers via Visual Boards onsite

Other Skills & Experience

  • Excellent financial analysis skills & strong attention to detail

  • Proven ability to prioritise objectives and duties

  • Ability to work on their own initiative or as part of a team

  • High level of proficiency using MS Excel

Education & Background

  • B.S. in Accounting or Relevant Business Course preferred, and suitable candidates should have or be working towards a professional accreditation. Eg. CIMA, ACCA, ACA

  • Exposure to manufacturing activities, variance analysis including SAP, Power BI experience would be an advantage but not necessarily required
