Financial Accountant x2 | North Cork

Our client, a large indigenous organisation based in North Cork (20 minutes from Mallow), is seeking two Qualified Financial Accountants to join their team on a permanent and contract basis. In these roles, you will be a key member of the finance team and act as the key liaison between the finance team and operations across a range of value-creating activities. This role would suit those with 1-2 years PQE or those who are recently qualified and looking to move to industry or those at a more experienced level for the contract role. What the day to day looks like (full spec available on request):

  • Lead month-end accounts close and management accounts preparation including all balance sheet reconciliations and profit/loss analysis

  • Variance Analysis - monthly management accounts must be reviewed for accuracy and reasonableness to identify any deviations from forecast

  • Prepare and circulate weekly finished goods reconciliations for retail products, suggest process improvements and work with area managers to reduce variances

  • Reconcile finished goods stock to third-party warehouses and other finished goods locations weekly/monthly as required

  • Lead internal controls function, ensure compliance across site, recommend control improvements and ensure adequate reporting

  • Yield reporting across manufacturing activities

  • Annual financial statements preparation and key auditor liaison 

  • Provide support on enhancing finance processes and procedures

  • Collaborate and maintain stakeholder relationships with cross-functional departments - Supply Chain, Quality, Manufacturing, Commercial etc.

Main Requirements:

  • Fully qualified Accountant (CPA, ACA, or equivalent)

  • 1-2+ PQE ideally but flexible to consider recently qualified
