Our client is looking for an experienced, qualified financial accountant to join their finance team. They are a growing multinational manufacturing based in County Offaly. It is a permanent, hybrid role.
Reporting directly to the Head of Finance, the Financial Accountant will play a vital role in the accurate and timely reporting of financial accounts, with a focus on month-end reporting. a focus on month-end reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and review GL entries and supporting files for month-end close.
Compile monthly management account packs.
Complete monthly balance sheet account reconciliations.
Ensure accurate capture of COGS in manufacturing for Gross Margin analysis.
Prepare VAT returns.
Quarterly analysis of key trends and results for senior management.
Handle monthly and quarterly reporting activities, including liquidity and financing.
Manage cost, budgeting, and variance analysis with commentary on key drivers.
Contribute to the preparation of annual regulatory returns.
Support the cash management process and prepare rolling cash flow statements.
Assist in the preparation of audit files.
Skills & Qualifications:
Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA).
Minimum of two years' post-qualification experience in finance and management accounts.
Experience in a manufacturing business is desirable but not mandatory.
Proficiency in month-end closing, including journal preparation, balance sheet reconciliations, and management report production.
Strong team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Agile and adaptable to changing priorities.
Exceptional deadline awareness and time management skills.
Meticulous attention to detail.
Ability to handle confidential information discreetly.
Advanced Excel skills.
