Financial Accountant

Financial  Accountant with 3 years post qualification required for a maternity leave contract for Sligo manufacturing company. Hybrid working, 1 - 2 days per week.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure month-end reporting is carried out efficiently and in line with agreed timetable

  • Ensure accounting practices are in compliance with site policy and regulatory policies

  • Provide cost information to management and other departments

  • Prepare and submit Revenue/Regulatory returns

  • Review and reconciliation of inter-company accounts, involving communication with other business locations worldwide

  • Monthly financial accounting to include preparation and analysis of journals at month end, analysis of month end accounts

  • Preparation and analysis of balance sheet reconciliations at month-end

  • Completion of ad hoc business tasks as required

  • Projects and continued process improvement initiatives

Requirements:

  • ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent accountancy qualification

  • Tax Qualification / Tax Experience is desirable but not essential.

  • Minimum of 3 years’ post qualified experience

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Strong computer skills especially MS Office (Power Query & Power BI)

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Experience in SAP is desirable
