Our client, a well-established and growing FMCG business based in Dublin 12, is seeking a qualified Financial Accountant to join their finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious accountant looking to develop their career within a fast-paced commercial environment, gaining exposure to financial reporting, management accounting, compliance, and business partnering.
This position offers a broad and varied role with responsibility across month-end reporting, statutory accounts, budgeting support, and continuous process improvement.
Permanent contract with Hybrid working, 2 days work from home.
Key Responsibilities

Prepare and support the monthly management accounts process, including journal postings and month-end reporting.

Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations.

Prepare and reconcile monthly intercompany accounts.

Support capital expenditure monitoring, evaluating proposals and controlling spend.

Assist with the preparation of statutory financial statements and support the external audit process.

Contribute to the annual budgeting and forecasting process.

Ensure Revenue compliance, including the preparation of monthly and bi-monthly statutory returns.

Provide cross-functional support across the finance team, including payroll activities where required.

Identify opportunities to improve financial processes, controls and reporting efficiencies.

Support ad hoc financial analysis, reporting and business improvement projects.
Requirements

Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).

Minimum of 2 years' post-qualification experience within FMCG, manufacturing, retail or another fast-paced commercial environment.

Experience preparing management accounts, financial reporting and month-end close.

Strong understanding of balance sheet reconciliations, accruals, prepayments and financial controls.

Experience supporting statutory accounts preparation and external audits.

Previous experience with Revenue compliance, VAT returns and intercompany reconciliations.

Experience using an integrated ERP system; IFS experience would be advantageous.

Advanced Microsoft Excel skills with strong analytical and reporting capabilities.

Payroll experience would be beneficial but is not essential.
