Our client, a well-established and growing FMCG business based in Dublin 12, is seeking a qualified Financial Accountant to join their finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious accountant looking to develop their career within a fast-paced commercial environment, gaining exposure to financial reporting, management accounting, compliance, and business partnering.

This position offers a broad and varied role with responsibility across month-end reporting, statutory accounts, budgeting support, and continuous process improvement.

Permanent contract with Hybrid working, 2 days work from home.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and support the monthly management accounts process, including journal postings and month-end reporting.

  • Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations.

  • Prepare and reconcile monthly intercompany accounts.

  • Support capital expenditure monitoring, evaluating proposals and controlling spend.

  • Assist with the preparation of statutory financial statements and support the external audit process.

  • Contribute to the annual budgeting and forecasting process.

  • Ensure Revenue compliance, including the preparation of monthly and bi-monthly statutory returns.

  • Provide cross-functional support across the finance team, including payroll activities where required.

  • Identify opportunities to improve financial processes, controls and reporting efficiencies.

  • Support ad hoc financial analysis, reporting and business improvement projects.

Requirements

  • Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).

  • Minimum of 2 years' post-qualification experience within FMCG, manufacturing, retail or another fast-paced commercial environment.

  • Experience preparing management accounts, financial reporting and month-end close.

  • Strong understanding of balance sheet reconciliations, accruals, prepayments and financial controls.

  • Experience supporting statutory accounts preparation and external audits.

  • Previous experience with Revenue compliance, VAT returns and intercompany reconciliations.

  • Experience using an integrated ERP system; IFS experience would be advantageous.

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills with strong analytical and reporting capabilities.

  • Payroll experience would be beneficial but is not essential.
