Our client, an international energy company is seeking to hire a Finance Manager for their expanding business.
Responsibilities include:
- Management of month end, quarter end, year end close (sales invoices review, purchase invoices review, journals review, balance sheet reconciliations review)
- Preparation of consolidated financial statements in line with agreed deadlines across multiple entities and jurisdictions
- Statutory accounts preparation and managing of audit process
- Quarterly reporting
- Building and maintaining relationships
- Tax compliance, including VAT returns review and filing and CT returns review
- Payments run review
- Payroll review
- Support in budget and forecast activities
- Developing of policies and procedures and ensuring they are adhered to consistently
- Development of systems/processes for the overall improvement of efficiencies throughout the organization
- Staff supervision and training of Accounts Assistant
The successful candidate should have the following:
- Fully qualified ACA, ACCA, CIMA accountant
- Experience in high transaction volume commodity trading or financial services sector
- Be self-motivated and work well on their own as well as in a team environment
- Deadline driven with strong attention to detail
- A flexible approach to work and the ability to adapt in fast-paced environment
- Three to five years prior experience in the financial reporting/general ledger area in practice or industry
- Strong knowledge of IFRS
- Stakeholder engagement with the ability to liaise with all levels of stakeholders
