Finance Analyst - Controllership

Our client, a large multinational within the Financial Services Industry are looking to recruit a Finance Analyst to work as a key member of the Controllership Team. This role will be best suited to someone who has experience working in the financial services industry and who has a good understanding of the regulatory & control framework.This is a fixed-term contract of 23 months. and comes with a competitive compensation and benefits package. The role is based in Shannon, Co. Clare, with a requirement to travel to Dublin 2 days per week.

About the role

The Finance Analyst will be responsible for cash management and reconciliation to support our servicing contracts, preparing general ledger reconciliations, and will have a key role in the month-end reporting process. They will also be involved in the preparation of statutory reporting and assist the Financial Controller in all internal and external audits.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation of the Statutory Accounting and Reporting Process including liaising with the business/external auditors, closing out queries, preparing and filing the financial statements

  • Leading month-end close process and booking journals to our GL system, calculating revenue in accordance with various contracts and raising sales invoices, management of our receivables, preparation of monthly balance sheet account reconciliations, daily and weekly cash flow forecasts for intercompany funding. Maintenance of intercompany loan models.

  • Assisting in the preparation of the month-end reporting process, preparation of weekly debtors report for senior management.

  • Assist the Financial Controller to ‘on-board’ new servicer portfolios and integrate/develop new/existing processes

Skills & Experience

  • Qualified or Part-Qualified Accountant

  • Strong financial analysis

  • Good understanding of the regulatory & control framework

  • Portfolio integration experience (desirable)
