Job Title: Field Installation Technician (Electrical/Mechanical)

Location: Ireland (Field Based)

We have an excellent opportunity for a Field Technician to join our client, a long-established catering equipment provider, offering catering solutions with over 50 years of experience across Ireland.

The company specialises in the installation, servicing, and maintenance of commercial catering equipment for a wide range of clients. Known for their technical expertise and responsive service delivery, they are seeking a skilled and motivated technician to join their field service team. This role offers the opportunity to work on a broad range of electrical, gas, and refrigeration equipment while developing into a fully multi-skilled engineer through ongoing manufacturer training.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install and commission new commercial catering equipment at customer sites.
  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance to ensure equipment reliability and performance.
  • Service and repair existing commercial catering equipment across a variety of customer environments.
  • Diagnose and repair faults across electrical, gas, refrigeration, and mechanical systems.
  • Identify root causes of equipment issues and implement effective technical solutions.
  • Service and repair refrigeration equipment where applicable.
  • Complete service reports and documentation promptly and accurately following each job.
  • Participate in the out-of-hours and on-call support rota as required.
  • Deliver a high standard of customer service while working independently in a field-based environment.

Key Requirements:

  • Electrical apprentice experience or electrical engineering background.
  • Experience in electrical maintenance, or a relevant technical role (experience working with commercial catering equipment would be desirable)
  • Strong troubleshooting and fault-finding ability across electrical or mechanical systems.
  • Full clean driving licence.
  • Ability to work independently and use initiative in a field-based role.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills when dealing with customers and colleagues.
  • Willingness to travel and attend ongoing technical training.
  • Gas qualifications or willingness to train in gas systems
