Fabrication Manager

The Fabrication Manager would be responsible to plan, coordinate and control production within the fabrication department. 

Ensuring the efficient production of product in a safe compliant manner. 

This position would be based on the floor and would be a hands-on role. 

Responsibilities:

  • Planning and organising of Production Schedules
  • Assess and identify Resource Requirements.
  • Liaise with key stakeholders.
  • Develop and Agree on Production Targets for product lines
  • Oversee day to day production activities.
  • Create Recovery Plans.
  • Identify opportunities and devise strategies to reduce Production Costs, increase Production Efficiencies.
  • Lean Champion for Metal Shop and Weld Cells
  • Health & Safety Lead for Metal Shop and Weld Cells, ensuring that H&S guidelines and regulations are met
  • Enforce safety rules on their team members to avoid injuries in cases of accidents and production hazards
  • Work with management to implement the company’s policies and goals
  • Monitor and enforce company policy regarding attendance and timekeeping

Requirements:

  • 5 years experience in manufacturing operations, metal fabrication or similar environment. 
  • 2-3 years experience in management/supervisory capacity.
  • Excellent planning skills.
  • Organised, dependable and excellent time management. 
  • Excellent people skills and ability to implement performance measures to ensure production standards are met. 
  • Adaptable problem solver.
  • Excellent knowledge of policies and procedures.
  • Motivated leader able to work with teams. 
  • Proficient in IT including Microsoft Office.
