I am partnering with a medical device client in Galway, to hire an Equipment Engineer to join its Engineering team. This permanent role will focus on equipment reliability, maintenance strategy and continuous improvement within a regulated production environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage preventative and corrective maintenance programmes.
- Reduce downtime and improve equipment performance.
- Troubleshoot, repair, and upgrade equipment.
- Ensure safe and compliant maintenance practices.
- Maintain CMMS records and performance reports.
- Lead root cause analysis and continuous improvement projects.
- Support equipment installation and introduction to production.
- Work closely with production, quality, engineering, and automation teams.
Requirements:
- Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or related Engineering discipline.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in equipment maintenance/engineering.
- Manufacturing experience essential; medical device experience advantageous.
- Strong mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic knowledge.
- Experience with CMMS systems.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
