Environmental and Sustainability Leader – Manufacturing

Overview of Main Responsibilities (full job description available on request):

  • Responsible for developing and overseeing environmental, social, and corporate governance (ESG) policies, procedures, projects.

  • Ensure compliance with the site IPC Licence and keep up to date with Irish, & European Legislation.

  • Liaise with relevant bodies such as EPA, local authorities and public bodies.

  • Prepare and submit reports to maintain compliance with the site IPC Licence, Radiation Licence and Green House Permit conditions and EU ETS.

  • Manage environmental performance data and report environmental data to Site Management & Corporate on a monthly basis.

  • Preparing and submitting reports for the company, environmental agencies and government bodies.

  • Oversee and manage the Wastewater Treatment Plant on-site and develop a Shift Roster.

  • Oversee the management of waste on-site and identify opportunities for reduction.

  • Ensuring the Environmental Management System is maintained.

  • Responsible for preparing annual Budgets and submission of Capex Projects.

  • Liaising with third-party vendors to ensure all monitoring required is carried out as per the IPC Licence.

  • Issuing/Approving work permits for works to be carried out.

  • Shift work is required including weekends covering for holidays.

What the ideal candidate looks like:

  • Third level qualification in Environmental Science, Environmental Management with sustainability is preferable.

  • At least +5 years experience in an EPA licensed environment.

  • Experience/knowledge in Sustainability.

  • Experienced in management of the GHG Permit requirements.

  • Experience in wastewater treatment.

  • Experienced in preparation of Budgets.
