Environmental and Sustainability Leader – Manufacturing
Overview of Main Responsibilities (full job description available on request):
Responsible for developing and overseeing environmental, social, and corporate governance (ESG) policies, procedures, projects.
Ensure compliance with the site IPC Licence and keep up to date with Irish, & European Legislation.
Liaise with relevant bodies such as EPA, local authorities and public bodies.
Prepare and submit reports to maintain compliance with the site IPC Licence, Radiation Licence and Green House Permit conditions and EU ETS.
Manage environmental performance data and report environmental data to Site Management & Corporate on a monthly basis.
Preparing and submitting reports for the company, environmental agencies and government bodies.
Oversee and manage the Wastewater Treatment Plant on-site and develop a Shift Roster.
Oversee the management of waste on-site and identify opportunities for reduction.
Ensuring the Environmental Management System is maintained.
Responsible for preparing annual Budgets and submission of Capex Projects.
Liaising with third-party vendors to ensure all monitoring required is carried out as per the IPC Licence.
Issuing/Approving work permits for works to be carried out.
Shift work is required including weekends covering for holidays.
What the ideal candidate looks like:
Third level qualification in Environmental Science, Environmental Management with sustainability is preferable.
At least +5 years experience in an EPA licensed environment.
Experience/knowledge in Sustainability.
Experienced in management of the GHG Permit requirements.
Experience in wastewater treatment.
Experienced in preparation of Budgets.
