Job Purpose:

  • Deliver the site capital program by executing and completing engineering projects to the required deadlines, within budget and to the appropriate standards.
  • Ensure that the facility master plan is in line with the site strategy document.
  • Manage the project team and ensure all EHS and Quality metrics and procedures are adhered to.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Deliver site capital budget and program.
  • Manage the projects department and members.
  • Impact of role on business objectives
  • Key role to delivering site strategies and also delivering the roll-out of the site facility master plan.
  • Deliver projects through a matrix structure with the engagement of other site departments.
  • Always act legally and fairly within the spirit of all laws and regulations.
  • Encourage high performance with integrity and enhance awareness of and compliance with organisation policies & procedures.
  • Ensure the workplace is safe and free of harassment and bullying.
  • Create an atmosphere of respect and trust, in which concerns can be fully raised.
  • Demonstrate conviction and take ownership for engaging and communicating with your people.
  • Be a role model for effective escalation, ownership and decisions.
  • Empower, coach and support all colleagues.
  • Permit and Promote only desirable activities and behaviours.

Specialised Knowledge:

Basic Experience:

  • 5+ years industrial placement experience.

Preferred Experience

  • 5+ years within a pharmaceutical / FMCG environment.

Role Requirements:

  • Ability to work on own initiative and bring forward practical solutions to problems.
  • Follows simple written and oral instruction.
  • Ability to take a problem and deliver a solution through interacting with people and adhering to procedures.

Basic qualifications:

  • Degree in mechanical, chemical, civil or electrical engineering.
  • Project Management Qualification

Preferred qualifications:

  • Chartered Engineer.
  • Recognized qualification in Project Management.
