We are currently looking for anEngineering Manager to join a Biopharmaceutical Company located in Sligo. This role is a permanent, full-time position.

As an Engineering Manager, your duties will include:

  • Maximise production and utility equipment reliability through planned maintenance execution, rigorous incident investigation and troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and corrective and preventative action implementation.

  • Identify and manage capital projects in line with site strategic expansion plans, manage scope, schedule, procurement, resources, suppliers, and costs in line with business requirements.

  • Drive process improvement and waste elimination through operational excellence tools and techniques.

  • Manage engineering department expense budget including utilities, facilities and repairs, and maintenance

  • Implement an engineering drawing management process.

  • Together with EHS, coordinate risk assessments, reviews, and safety inspections to ensure the safety and health of employees, and the environment.

  • Support, participate, and lead internal and external audit programs.


As an Engineering Manager, you will be required to have:

  • A relevant Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or equivalent degree

  • At least 10 years of industrial experience in a similar role.

  • Demonstrated skills in designing equipment, plant, and processes, including executing capital projects.

  • Excellent knowledge of GMP compliance and practical implementation in the engineering manufacturing environment.

  • Advanced knowledge of Excel, Word, and MS Project.
