An exciting opportunity for an experienced Engineering Manager to join a world-renowned board game manufacturer based in Waterford on a permanent contract. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and managing the technical team as well as direct involvement in New Product Introduction (NPI) and continuous improvement on-site.

Role Responsibilities:

  • To identify and deliver process improvement.

  • To lead initiatives that reduce costs whilst continuously improving performance in all areas.

  • Work on building a continuous improvement environment.

  • Optimise equipment, ensuring the achievement of all KPI’s.

  • Drive the development of stable and capable manufacturing processes.

  • Ensure resource availability for all activities.

  • Manage the process of the introduction of new equipment from drawing up the specification, to managing suppliers through to full installation in collaboration with all relevant parties.

  • Liaise with equipment vendors as appropriate.

  • Actively monitor project risks to foresee/identify potential problems and actively identify solutions to address in advance.

Role Requirements:

  • B.Eng. or equivalent relevant qualification.

  • Minimum 5 years post qualification experience.

  • Proven track record of people and systems management.

  • High volume manufacturing experience desirable.
