An exciting opportunity for an experienced Engineering Manager to join a world-renowned board game manufacturer based in Waterford on a permanent contract. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and managing the technical team as well as direct involvement in New Product Introduction (NPI) and continuous improvement on-site.
Role Responsibilities:
To identify and deliver process improvement.
To lead initiatives that reduce costs whilst continuously improving performance in all areas.
Work on building a continuous improvement environment.
Optimise equipment, ensuring the achievement of all KPI’s.
Drive the development of stable and capable manufacturing processes.
Ensure resource availability for all activities.
Manage the process of the introduction of new equipment from drawing up the specification, to managing suppliers through to full installation in collaboration with all relevant parties.
Liaise with equipment vendors as appropriate.
Actively monitor project risks to foresee/identify potential problems and actively identify solutions to address in advance.
Role Requirements:
B.Eng. or equivalent relevant qualification.
Minimum 5 years post qualification experience.
Proven track record of people and systems management.
High volume manufacturing experience desirable.
