Our client, a leading biopharmaceutical company, is keen to hire an Electrical Utilities Engineer to join their growing team in Sligo on an initial 12-month contract. Reporting to the Site Engineering Manager, as an Electrical Utilities Engineer you will support the site services team in the turnover/commissioning of projects.
Key Responsibilities of an Electrical Utilities Engineer:
- Conduct Walk downs with Project Team on behalf of Site & Generate Punch-list as required.
- Manage Punch-list and Oversee Close out of raised Punches.
- Review Documentation of various systems prior to turnover.
- Liaise with Project System Owners as required.
- Assist with the Commissioning & Supporting of System Integration.
- Developing a project plan and qualification strategy in line with site requirements.
- Monitor and report on project plan progress, communicate any shortfalls in specific areas of the plan and where needed identify solutions to address the shortfalls.
Ideal Background:
- Electrical Engineering Degree Desired but not essential.
- Electrical Trade qualified (QQI Level 6) – Advanced Craft Electrical Cert or Electrical & Instrumentation Cert
- 5 years’ experience in Engineering or related discipline is a necessary requirement for this position with project management experience.
- Knowledge/Understanding of Site Electrical Infrastructure, Substations, Electrical Distribution, PLC’s, Electrical Drawings, P&ID’s, IS.101010, etc.
- Comfortable using IT applications including MS Word, Excel, etc.
